Automobile Industry Advisory Group Year2000 Project Management
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The automobile industry needed to take steps to help suppliers stay at full production over the Year2000 date.
Working as a subcontractor, Herridge designed and developed a web-based learning program for these suppliers to effectively manage Year2000 projects.
Scotiabank Banking Systems
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The bank implemented two new banking systems that moved approximately 8000 employees in 26 Central and South American countries from mainframe-based to web-based systems.
The applications handled banking transactions and retail/credit application processing (including adjudication).
As a subcontractor, Herridge was asked, based on their recognized eLearning expertise, to consult with the client to select a vender to build (code) web-based learning programs.
We designed and wrote story boards for modules including:
Introduction to overall change in Bank systems.
A separate introduction to, navigation and task-based instruction for each of the new systems.
UNIQUE ASPECTS:
Design of materials suitable for 26 different countries and their cultures.
Bank of Montreal Commercial Line of Business
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The client introduced the Seibel Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to their commercial line of business.
Herridge developed the high-level design for a web-based introduction to the tool including the impact on job roles, features and benefits, key system screens and basic navigation.
An online module was also included to test the audience on the introduction content.
Using this design as a basis, Herridge provided advice and guidance to the client for the full development of this web-based intervention.
Bank of Montreal ISD Methodology
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The client required a methodology for instructional design, development and delivery (ID3) to be used throughout the bank.
Herridge developed the ID3 methodology and wrote storyboards for this content to be distributed on the bank's intranet.
This robust site included:
Audio
Flash animation
Coach responses for learners to check their answers
Access to standard forms
We designed and developed case studies for learners to use and apply the methodology in 'real-life' scenarios. UNIQUE ASPECTS:
The methodology and case studies needed to be used by both experienced and new instructional designers. Herridge used 'nanosecond design tips' to provide shortcuts for more experienced individuals.
Air Canada Project Management
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Herridge acted as account and project manager for a $13 million multimedia development project with a major transportation company located in Montreal.
We were selected for this role due to our strong project and account management capabilities and hands-on experience in the design and development of multimedia and integrated performance support.
Edulinx E-mail Skills
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The Edulinx call centre began accepting email communication from clients.
Herridge developed a facilitated classroom learning program for personnel to use email effectively in their activities. General out-of-context skills (basic e-mail writing, grammar, spelling, tone and business communication tenets) and in-context skills (process, security, standard and free form replies, creating professional messages) were learned. UNIQUE ASPECTS:
All instructional activities were completed using email - learners emailed activity answers to instructors for review.
CIBC Learning Object Design: Banking Application
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Working as a subcontractor, Herridge designed web-based instruction to support the conversion of branch personnel to a new teller system. Procedures, application skills, and customer interaction are all covered in this 3 � 4 hour intervention.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Working as a sub-contractor, Herridge created the design, contributed to the interface, and developed the storyboards for the eLearning lessons and evaluation.
Also contributed to the design of a paper-based performance support tool to compliment the eLearning.
CIBC Computer-based Training
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The bank implemented two new applications in the branches: safety
deposit box and simplified transaction banking.
Working as a subcontractor, Herridge designed computer-based training (CBT) for these two
applications, each with a tool overview and hands-on guided simulations
of key tasks. UNIQUE ASPECTS:
The CBT was required to run on multiple platforms including
DOS-based, and had to be portable to home computers on a 1.44 floppy disk.
Canadian National Railway Formative Evaluation
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The Railway was considering the use of web-based learning delivery for its locomotive engineers.
Herridge evaluated a prototype of a web-based learning strategy considering the effectiveness, efficiency, usability and acceptance by the engineers. UNIQUE ASPECTS:
The audience had no experience with web-based learning and initially resisted the idea.
Canadian Government Agency Formative Evaluation
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Working as a subcontractor, Herridge evaluated the needs of five parts of a Canadian government agency and identified their synchronous and asynchronous learning requirements. Based on these requirements, an approach to infrastructure design and implementation was provided.
